Education and Formal Training:
· Bachelor of science in engineering; including manufacturing, production, mechanical, electrical, industrial, or multidisciplinary.
· Education with a university in the Chicagoland area a plus.
Experience:
· Entry Level – experience through an internship as a minimum
· Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, 3D Modeling, and other software or technology as relevant to this position.
· Inventor or Solid works experience required
· ERP systems knowledge a plus
Overview:
Responsible for the design and planning of new and existing products and systems by performing engineering duties and developing, designing, and testing mechanical devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists in the product redesigns, project estimates, change control, work order reviews & changes, bill of material, sourcing specialized components and project management.
· Develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components on new to market prototypes equipment, and machinery.
· Coordinate the production schedule, workflow, available labor, and material requirements to keep production and delivery targets.
· Work closely with procurement, logistics, and suppliers in managing the supply chain for materials and production components.
· Responsible for planning, input, review, output, validation of, and changes of the design for assigned tasks.
· Electronically document and maintain manufacturing processes including specifications, procedures, and performance metrics. Generate reports to track key performance indicators, analyze data, and make data driven decisions to improve quality and efficiency.
· Technical resource to Sales, Service and Production.
· Applies knowledge of engineering principles as a conduit and technical resource between vendors, sales and operations on custom designed products, components, controls, assemblies, and safety devices.
· Involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
· Cross-trains designated back-ups.
· Other duties as assigned.
