The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities within a food manufacturing environment. This position involves a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems.

Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets production requirements.

Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.

Respond promptly and provide emergency unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment during the manufacturing process to prevent disruptions to production.
Monitor and repair facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, to support a safe and comfortable working environment.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe work practices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GMP, HACCP, OSHA) and company policies related to food safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and inventory management.
Collaboration and Communication:
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and safety personnel, to address maintenance issues and implement solutions.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications and Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting/repairs on PLC, relay logic and logic controllers, 480v, 220v, 110v AC single/three phase and DC systems.
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.
Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases.
Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office, warehouse, and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
