Overview:
CSAC consists of Health, Pension, Annuity and Vacation Funds for over 100,000+ active and retired carpenters, their dependents, and beneficiaries across twelve states (combined assets of all the funds exceed 10 billion) including, Alaska, Arizona, Southern California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The Accounting Analyst will focus on the Accounts Payable (AP) functions but will be asked to assist with related projects within the Corporate Accounting Department, working directly under the supervision of senior accountants and the Controller. Related projects may include maintaining financial records, running reports for management review, recording a wide range of financial transactions, offering administrative and bookkeeping assistance to accounting special projects, helping prepare financial statements and confirming the accuracy of accounting database information.
Position Functions and Responsibilities:
· Process invoices for payment in accordance with the established policies and procedures in addition to agreed-upon contracts.
· Enter invoice data accurately into accounting software for review and payment.
· Address inquiries by outside parties and investigate and resolve any noted irregularities.
· Maintain daily ledger of outstanding unpaid invoices and collected receipts.
· Maintain periodic ledgers of recurring organizational expenses by category and function.
· Perform follow-up communications on unpaid invoices.
· Performs other related duties as required.
· Provide excellent customer service to all CSAC stakeholders by exhibiting a professional appearance and demeanor.
· Complete tasks needed and maintained all department projects on track.
· Help with projects assigned by and to the department.
· General administrative support such as processing and distributing department mailings to the appropriate personnel, scanning and filing of accounting records, refilling office supplies, etc.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
· Associates of Arts Degree with specialty in Accounting; degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred but not required.
· Minimum two (2) years of work experience in accounting/payroll is preferred. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially in Excel.
· A knowledge of good internal control principles and procedures is necessary as well as an ability to operate customary office equipment.
· This position requires a high level of competence, strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong organization skills, excellent problem solving and analytical capabilities, and strong attention to detail.

· Participate and interact professionally during department meetings, company events, and/or trainings.
· Experience working with Sage 100 is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility:
· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment/ Physical Demands
· While performing the duties of the job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and listen.
· Ability to lift 10-50 pounds when necessary.
Travel
· Minimal to no travel. Occasional travel to business related events, offices and/or seminars may be required.
