Description:
To operate the forklift and/or train to move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility or unto truck trailers. Manually feed lines with materials and assist in change over materials.

The main missions of the role are to:
- Prior to operating forklift, perform operations and safety check.
- Proceeds safely to assigned area to pull, load, and move material, supplies, and finished goods, checking for required part identification.
- Stacks skids, pallets, baskets and barricades in designated area.
- Loads totes on flow racks per standard.
- Manually load and unload materials on and off rack.
- Pull materials to fulfill orders properly
- Manually organize materials as supervisor’ instruction.
- Adheres to all work rules and procedures
Additional responsibilities include :
- Cleans up and disposes of scrap cardboards, strapping, and tags in the proper containers or area.
- Clean/paint equipment, clean / seal floors, paint lines around equipment when line is down or when assigned.
- Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policy.
- Assist with product sequencing when not occupied in other duties
- Perform General Operator duties when requested.
- Other duties as requested.
Job knowledge / Skills / Qualification:
· Ability to follow instruction verbal and written
- Good communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate with employees of all levels
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner.
- Must process a valid state driver’s license
Education/ Expérience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Job involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (full exhaust assemblies), exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and exerts 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, stooping/kneeling/squatting, twisting/turning, walking, gripping, and bending.
- High mental and visual effort required
- Work involves considerable bending and twisting
- Overtime is mandatory - up to 12 hours a day/7 day a week
Safety / Hazards:
- Steel toed shoes required in production area at all times due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts and product.
- ANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required in production area due to dust, oils, and debris.
- Exposed to weld fumes and dust
- Exposed to moderate burns, cuts, and bruises.
- Exposed to significant temperature changes in the facility – (heat in the summer / cold in the winter)

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
