Responsibilities include:
Planning, coordinating, and directing of all nursing staff on the assigned units and shifts
Ongoing general evaluation of staff performance and activities, in order to achieve optional resident/patient care
Interacting with all levels of nursing personnel, other department personnel and medical providers to assure quality care is provided to each resident/patient
Handle all supervisory duties for assigned unit
Help establish and implement employee policies and procedures
Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice
Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families
Qualifications:
Must hold valid Registered Nurse (RN) License in NY State
Long Term Care and Charge Nurse Experience is a plus
Strong computer skills
Excellent communication skills
