Gwynedd Mercy University’s School of Business and Education is seeking a non-tenure track full time, Assistant Professor for Quantitative Research for its doctoral programs in Educational Leadership, Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, and Nursing Education. The EdD is a hybrid program with the great majority of courses offered fully online. There are three residencies included in the program: two on campus and one international residency.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach doctoral level courses in educational research methods and quantitative research design. They will also serve as a resource in research methodology, data analysis, and statistics to doctoral students in our programs. Responsibilities include support for dissertation chairs, adjunct faculty, curriculum development, outcomes assessment, university service and scholarship. This an 11-month position with a 24 credit hour teaching load.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate in education, higher education, or related field from an accredited institution
3-5 years’ experience as a full-time higher education faculty member (or equivalent)
Demonstrated expertise in quantitative research
Strong statistical and data analysis skills
Demonstrated expertise in online instruction
Knowledge of emerging instructional pedagogy
Knowledge of student development theory and current trends in higher education including support for under resourced student populations
Record of, or clear potential for, scholarly research
