The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the management and execution of all marketing, design and PR efforts working collaboratively with the Carnivale team that delivers executional results and tracks metrics based on the marketing efforts. Additionally, this role identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote and positively represent the Carnivale brand.
- Role Based in Chicago, IL | 4 days in-office at Carnivale/1 day remote
- Reports to Carnivale Chicago Director of Sales
- Manages and executes all marketing initiatives to drive exposure, reservations and revenue opportunities to Carnivale Chicago
- Seeks new marketing opportunities to elevate the reputation of Carnivale that drives awareness and visibility of the Carnivale offerings
- Develops new programming initiatives and experiential marketing events to drive need periods and capture new audiences
- Creates graphics for events and experiences for social media and digital channels
- Develops all email blasts for Carnivale and The Alley
- Updates all menus in collaboration with operations
- Manages all printing needs with local printer include promotional items, bounce backs, menus
- Maintains the Carnivale Chicago website and manages digital agency
- Oversees external PR Agency including media requests, social media calendar and press releases
- Books Santa’s, Easter bunny, photo booths, DJ or bands for ala carte special occasions
- Supports sales team to attend shows and presentations
- Coordinates with Choose Chicago and other event opportunities for Carnivale like Chicago Restaurant week or Meals on Wheels
- Handles Google and Yelp business updates along with other third-party websites
- Support in the launch and opening plan of Carnivale Bahamas
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
- Experience in graphic design, social media management and marketing programming
- Proficient in Creative Suite
- Strong copywriting skills with experience in creating compelling content
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in website management, email marketing and content updates
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Highly organized with strong communication skills and a teamwork style to accomplishing goals
