Project Manager needed for our Industrial Solutions group – Gaston SC location. Experience and Education:
· Education: High School
· Experience: 10+ years’ experience with Heavy Industrial Mechanical Installation (equipment, piping, structural steel installation) with at least 5 years as a Foreman or Superintendent performing maintenance or outage work. Preference will be given to candidates with mining or material handling experience.
Responsible for the following duties:
· Attend pre-bid meetings as necessary.
· Prepare takeoffs for electrical projects. <$500K.
· Prepare labor and material estimates for electrical projects. <$500K.
· Prepare written proposals for electrical projects <$500K.
· Project specific planning (i.e. – Control Budget, Preplanning, PMO etc.)
· Project specific safety oversight (i.e. – Craft onboarding, observations, incidents etc.)
· Project specific quality oversight (i.e. – Craft onboarding, observations, incidents etc.)
· Project specific execution oversight (i.e. – Procurement, Labor, Schedule, Equipment etc.)
· Project specific financial oversight (i.e. – Procurement, Change Management, Productivity etc.)
· Project specific oversight, of assigned projects, by means of continued engagement with project staff.
· Work affects entire company, general corporate-level direction, directs company-wide initiatives, highly influential at all levels.
· Problem resolution requires considerable analysis of multiple components or conflicting issues.
· Applies broad understanding of industrial construction, organization, system and/or client needs to resolve highly complex problems.
· Identifies new services and opportunities for process improvement.
· Independently evaluates and meets complex organizational, program, or system needs in assigned area.
· Serves as a strategic advisor to ongoing projects.
· Plans and directs activities/functions for multiple operations, program(s), or projects.
· Authorized to commit the program or organization to projects/expenditures within well-defined guidelines.
· Forecasting Expenditures.
Physical responsibilities of the position:
· Employee will be required to perform long periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting
· May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
· Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off of platforms.
· Will work at heights up to 300' utilizing proper fall protection.
· Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for a long period of time of up to 12 hours a day
· Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots
