Education:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or Life Sciences with a minimum of 4 years of experience in laboratory automation in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry OR MS Degree in Engineering or Life Sciences with a minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory automation in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry. Willing to consider PHD candidates with relevant experience in laboratory automation in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry.
The candidate will have experience with some of the following techniques and instrumentation :
- Automated assay execution and data analysis
- Assay development, optimization, and translation to automation
- Microsoft Office, LabView
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BiomekiSeries, Combi, BlueWasher, Cytomat, Precise, Staubli, Nikon, WDII, PlateLoc, Xpeel, Cytation, Pherastar, Vspin, Echo, Hamilton
Personality:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Note: 1 year assignment with possibility of extension. Onsite position at Cambridge, MA

We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated automation scientist to join the Data, AI, and Genome Sciences group at the client.
Responsibilities:
- Successful candidates will become part of a creative and flexible team that utilizes cutting-edge automation and science to support the discovery and interrogation of novel medicines.
- Successful candidates will focus on the operation of automated systems and associated instrumentation.
- Candidates for the position must support parallel projects and multi-task daily.
- Experience with automated liquid handlers, detectors, and robots is required.

Critical to success will be the ability to design experiments, interpret and track results, and utilize this information for automated workflow development and optimization.
- Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to follow established protocols, design new protocols and experiments, and show attention to detail.
- The candidate is expected to participate in preparation of automated systems and associated instrumentation for the execution of automated workflows.
- Monitoring executing automation systems is crucial with the ability for system and instrument level error recovery.
