We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our plastic surgery practice. This position requires exceptional communication skills, a self-motivated attitude, and a strong background in social media management. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our plastic surgeons and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assist plastic surgeons during consultations, examinations, and surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the surgical suite, ensuring it is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Provide excellent patient care and support, addressing their concerns and ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Pre-op and post operative appointments, provide all pre-and post operative instructions to prepare patients for surgery.
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, surgeries, and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, both in physical and electronic formats.
- Utilize strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions and answer any questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with the office staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
- Manage the practice's social media accounts, including creating engaging content, posting updates, and responding to inquiries and comments.
- Utilize social media analytics to track and report on engagement and growth metrics.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in plastic surgery and social media marketing.
Qualifications:
- Certified or registered Medical Assistant with a strong background in plastic surgery procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and effectively communicate with the surgical team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient patient scheduling.
- Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Strong knowledge and experience in managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for professional purposes.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to use data to inform content strategy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
