Position Overview:
The Vice President for Business and Finance (VPBF) serves as the chief business officer, providing leadership and oversight of the university's financial management and strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the President, the VPBF guides the development and implementation of SPU's human, financial, and physical resources. Key responsibilities include financial management and planning, campus leadership, human resources, facility planning, technology support, campus services, risk management, and campus security.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the President and leadership team to support the strategic plan, achieve a balanced operating budget, and oversee the successful implementation of the new campus Enterprise Resource Planning system (Workday). Instilling confidence in the financial operations of the university and promoting calm stability across all functional areas will be key priorities.

- A maturing and contagious Christian faith, knowledge of and willingness to actively support the Christian mission of the University and accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.

Master's degree in business administration, higher education administration, or related field preferred.

Strong financial and accounting background with experience in higher education administration.

Demonstrated leadership experience in managing complex organizations and projects.

Strategic foresight with the ability to address root causes and implement lasting solutions.

Excellent communication, team-building, and change management skills.

CPA certificate deemed extremely helpful.
