The company operates White Horse Auto Wash ("White Horse"), which is a 13-unit car wash chain formed in 2008. White Horse has 8 units in Virginia and 5 units in Charleston, South Carolina. Controller Job Description
The Controller is a professional responsible for preparing timely and accurate company financial statements (e.g. Balance Sheets, Income Statements, etc.), as well as budgets and financial forecasts. The Controller will also assist in compliance tax and financial statement audits/reviews, as well as ensuring strong internal controls to safeguard assets and provide reliable financial information. The Controller will also have responsibility to manage third-party professionals associated with Human Resources, Insurance, and a variety of professionals focused on streamlining the existing financial software and processes (NetSuite) and other back-office procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
Working closely with the President;
· Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
· Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
· Prepare and publish timely and accurate monthly financial statements
· Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
· Research technical accounting issues for compliance
· Support month-end and year-end close process
· Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
· Manage local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
· Liaison with outside accountants in the audit/reviews and income tax return preparations
· Familiar with financial analysis and proforma creation to assist with potential company acquisitions and repositions
· Additional controller duties as necessary
Requirements and Skills:
· Proven work experience in a senior management accounting role
· NetSuite experience highly preferred
· 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
· Minimum BS Accounting or Finance
· CPA license highly preferred
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
· Experience with creating financial statements, forecasts, budgets
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
