Are you interested in helping to maintain Downtown Omaha’s renovated park system? The RiverFront is looking for maintenance workers who will assist with upkeep and care of the metro’s new crown jewel!
Founded in 2018, The RiverFront combines three parks in the heart of downtown Omaha into one identity. After undergoing renovations, the three parks now connect, serving as a gathering space between the historic Old Market and vibrant north downtown Omaha.
This role will provide a wide range of maintenance care tasks at a high level for The RiverFront, including event set-up/tear down, maintenance and repairs of park features, equipment, grounds, and park/building systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs and upkeep of The RiverFront general grounds, buildings, water features and parking lots as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform building up-keep, furniture repair & replacement, artwork upkeep, playground equipment repair, etc.
- Operate vehicles, grounds maintenance equipment, power tools, and various hand tools to perform job responsibilities.
- Perform winter season duties including plowing and shoveling snow and ice treatment.
- Conduct monthly inspections and files reports, as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform general custodial and janitorial duties, in park, restrooms, shop areas, and other facilities.
- Maintain service logs, task tracking, vehicle inspections sheets, daily check out sheets, and other work records and reports, as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Wors assigned schedules, exhibits regular and punctual attendance, and works outside of normal schedules as required.
- Provide service to the public, responding to questions, offering assistance, and providing information.
- Perform event set-up, change over and striking activities for all events held within the park property.
- Collaborate internally, within and across departments, to provide information and service to others in the organization to contribute to the effective operation of the organization and all staff.
- Work with other departments during special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Most duties will be performed outdoors. Regular and predictable attendance required.
