Position Summary:
ITT Goulds Pumps has an opening for a General Laborer in Seneca Falls, NY. The General Laborer will perform a variety of duties throughout the departments of Receiving, Shipping, Stockroom, or other work as assigned. This is a second shift position and the hours are 3:30pm-12:00am.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Follow relevant work instructions and/or SOP.

May be required to operate industrial trucks (fork trucks, lift trucks, etc.)

Examine product for wear or defects, and compare with records such as invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.

Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies. Report discrepancies to supervisor.

Prepare documents such as packing lists, work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.

Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.

Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.

Use general carpentry tools such as hammer, power drill, and power saw to build crates or boxes used to ship pumps and parts. May make skids
- Identify controlled materials, such as titanium, fiber glass, for overseas shipments; label as export controlled.

May use crane to hang parts and/or more parts along roller systems.

Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, stock rooms, or other areas.

Receive and count stock items, record data manually or using computer.

Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

May train new employees.

Other Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment performing manual labor is preferred

Maximum lifting requirement is 40 lbs

Must wear required safety equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, etc.
