CP Fine Catering is an upscale, expanding South Bay Catering Company that has clients throughout Silicon Valley. We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Sales Manager to join our team!
Job Summary:
The Catering Sales Manager will focus on generating sales of corporate and social events. They will handle all aspects of the booking process, including responding to inquiries in a timely manner, writing proposals, maintaining communication with clients, creating menus to suit client’s needs, setting up and attending tastings and site visits, securing contracts, insuring payments, securing outside vendors and rentals, attending and overseeing events when necessary, and keeping all involved staff, management, and the kitchen informed and up to date throughout the process. They will report directly to the Director of Operations/General Manager, and be expected to deliver on sales expectations.
Responsibilities include:
- Booking and soliciting corporate and social events
- Delivering sales results, meeting deadlines, and targets
- Developing new relationships while continuing to provide excellent service standards for existing clients
- Reporting directly to Director of Operations/General Manager
- Maintaining open communication with the sales department, kitchen, service staff, and warehouse crew as well as with senior management
- Attending client tastings and venue site visits
- Insuring success by attending and overseeing events when necessary
- Working and maintaining relationships with outside vendors
- Handling concerns, and service issues with confidence and dignity; focused on finding solutions and resolving issues quickly
Qualifications and Skills Needed: * 3-5 years of sales management experience (preferred in catering)
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals
- A thorough knowledge of practices and procedures of the catering, food and beverage, and hospitality professions
- Passionate about high quality food and exceptional service
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and responsibilities
- Ability to maintain professional composure under pressure
- Knowledge of various cultural social events, and ability to work with a culturally diverse population
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
- Knowledge of Gather event management software a plus
- Flexibility to work some nights/weekends
Base Salary + Commission + Vacation Pay
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
