Talent Corps is seeking an designer for a nationwide Signage and Cladding firm based in the Dallas area. This is an opportunity created a product that stands out, catching the eyes of all passersby! The company is open to both Junior and Senior level designers. Salary depends on the level of the individuals experience.
Jr Designer Salary: $60k - 79k DOE
Sr. Designer Salary: $80k - 100k DOE
The primary responsibilities:
- Perform daily project activities as required for the Design team’s deliverables
- Maintain project schedules
- Complete accurate material takeoffs
- Create fabrication drawings for CNC Machinery
- Design, collaborate, and fabricate unique conditions in Mockup form for Design intent approval
- Generate shop drawings and work with production and installation teams on the crucial details of the design
- Help provide solutions and field fix documentation for execution and As-Built drawings.
- Create plans and drawings for field logistics such as installation sequence diagrams and material schedules.
- Maintain and update Scopes and Jobs defined by a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) within the company project tracking system, Smartsheet.
- Meetings as required.
- Other responsibilities as required.
- If a Senior level designer, will have additional BIM integration and supervisorial responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Architecture, (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience working in related façade, envelope or contract glazing sector.
- Fundamental understanding of building construction methodology and typical equipment, machinery and rigging.
- Proficient with Revit is a MUST.
- Proficient with AutoCAD is a must.
- Proficient with Smartsheet (preferred)
- The ability to understand, interpret and create project schedules.
- Proficient with MSOffice suit (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficient with PDF editing software such as Blubeam or Adobe.
- Able to travel as required.
- Able to effectively work in an office environment, production environment and job site as required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Toolpathing
- Experience with 3D software
