Do you have a love for teaching ballet? Do you want to help strengthen and build a beginner ballet program? Bethesda Dance Center is looking for a top-notch, experienced, motivated, and personable Ballet Teacher to lead, hone, and mold its young ballet program. Training in at least one type of Ballet curriculum/methodology is essential--we will welcome any method that the right candidate brings to the table. We are specifically looking for a Ballet teacher to teach 2nd-6th grades, Monday-Friday, around 13 hours per week from September 2024-May 2025. This teacher will also be in charge of setting, organizing, and directing a Big Ballet for our Spring Recital that will include all ballet classes. We are a young studio that cares so much about supporting and caring for our faculty. We help with teaching strategies, resources, professional development, and classroom management support. Details:
1) Days/Times: Monday-Friday, after school. Some days will be longer, while others will be shorter-- at least 13 hours per week total

Candidates Must:
1) Have training in dancing, teaching, and choreographing ballet
2) Have prior dance teaching experience and/or experience with young children in a classroom setting.
3) Have willingness to learn through professional development and resources
4) Manage classes effectively and appropriately
5) Come on time and prepared to all ballet classes
6) Have fun and show respect to all their students and colleagues
7) Be a contributing, supportive member of the Bethesda Dance Center team
