Staff Accountant – Luxury Residential Construction

Position Overview:
In this role you will serve as support of our financial operations and office management, providing strategic leadership and ensuring the seamless execution of our projects. This position offers an opportunity for career advancement and professional growth within a dynamic and innovative company.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Lead aspects of financial accounting, including daily account reconciliation, client billing processes, and subcontractor payments.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with external partners, including CPAs and tax advisors, to optimize tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Oversee payroll processing, including onboarding new employees and managing benefit programs.
Office Administration:
Supervise office operations, including the execution of subcontractor agreements, management of office rent payments, and coordination of insurance policies.
Maintain accurate records of corporate assets, including vehicles and office equipment.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and mitigate risk
- Perform technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
- Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Manage the general ledger accounting process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
