The State Group is seeking an Electrical Estimator to work at our Evansville, Indiana location.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- As an Electrical Estimator you will prepare cost estimates for various projects, including conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.
- Independently calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs based on proposals, plans, and specifications, including project closings.
- Review data to determine material and labor requirements, creating detailed itemized lists.
- Draft requests for quotations to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Utilize estimating software (e.g., Accubid Classic or Anywhere) for precise cost calculations.
- Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve company objectives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
- A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent trade experience
- 2 + years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
- Experience in developing electrical service quotes/estimates in a similar role.
- Knowledge of electrical sub-trades scope of work.
- Solid understanding of electrical drawings and the ability to interpret schematics and P&IDs.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel); knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software.
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, contractors, and other business partners.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple competing priorities and timelines.
