Job Description- Lead Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reports to Director of Operations
· Develop and design projects through completion with minimal review and supervision
· Prepare and coordinate the design team if applicable
Conceptualize and create design ideas through 3D visualization, mood boards
· Develop space plans, project budget, schedule and programming documentation
· Selections and specifications of finish materials and furniture
· Create and manage time and materials budgets for projects
· Prepare design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutions
· Communicate with clients, contractors, and consultants.
· Lead project meetings & client presentations
· Organize and prioritize projects and assist with organizing team members, tasks and meetings
· Administer contract documents, bids & negotiations including construction administration
· Review shop drawings and submittals
· Track time using Harvest
· Mentoring and management of design associates + interns
· Knowledge of building codes and building systems
- Bill 32+ hours per week; accountable to budgets and KPIs
- Schedule, Manage and Direct installations

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
· 5+ years of commercial and/or residential interior design experience required
· Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills
· Strong knowledge of the design process including specification of materials, FF&E, and project management
· Resilient to coping with client demands; ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities efficiently and effectively
EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, preferred
