Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage and /or Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for wiring and installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems such as security alarms, computer networks, and audiovisual equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail.
Duties:
- Install and configure low voltage / Fire Alarm systems, including alarm systems, computer hardware, cabling, and audiovisual equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on low voltage systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with low voltage systems
- Collaborate with clients to determine their specific needs and design appropriate system solutions
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to understand system requirements
- Conduct system tests to ensure proper functionality
- Provide training to clients on how to use low voltage systems effectively
Experience:
- Previous experience in low voltage system installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical principles
- Familiarity with computer hardware and networking concepts
- Proficiency in cabling techniques and practices
- Locksmithing skills are a plus
- Ability to detect and resolve issues in low voltage systems
- Experience reading blueprints and technical diagrams for system design
Skills:
- Alarm system sales, build, and installation
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment installation
- Computer hardware troubleshooting and configuration
- Cabling techniques for proper installation
- Low voltage certification preferred but not required
- Locksmithing skills for system security
- Ability to detect and resolve issues in low voltage systems
- Blueprint reading for system design
