Job Summary:
We seek a skilled Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team to manage daily accounting duties, and perform basic analysis and forecasting for a fast-growing SAAS company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of basic accounting functions and daily needs for a fast-paced company and take initiative.
Summary of essential job functions
- Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record daily financial transactions, including income and expenses.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Accounts Payable:
- Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send out invoices to clients.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
- Assist in the analysis of financial data.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted figures.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain organized and well-documented financial records.
- Assist in the preparation for audits.
- Software Subscriptions:
- Manage and track software subscriptions related to accounting and financial operations.
- Monitor renewal dates and ensure timely payments for software services.
- Evaluate the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of existing software tools.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial information.
- Provide support to management in financial decision-making.
- Software Proficiency:
- Utilize accounting software for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Stay updated on our selected subscription management software. We use Quickbooks, Chargebee, Hubspot, and Stripe.
- Understanding relevant accounting standards and compliance issues specific to SaaS.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and advancements in SaaS financial management practices.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Preferably, experience working in a SaaS or technology-focused environment.
- Understanding of AP/ AR and Customer subscription management

Work Environment:

Pay Range
$45,000 - $60,000
Commensurate with experience
