Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide direct care to patients in a behavioral health setting, assisting with crisis management and patient support.
Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of patient treatment plans under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Monitor and document patient behaviors and interactions
- Conduct regular check-ins with patients to assess their well-being
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient charts
- Take vital signs and assist with basic medical procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a behavioral health or similar setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care practices
- Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing crisis situations
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism is a plus
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques
