- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Transportation Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in safety management within the transportation or logistics industry is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Director of Safety (CDS), or similar certifications are advantageous.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with safety management software and other relevant technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills to assess safety data and develop actionable insights.
- Attributes:
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
