Salary: $58,500 – $61,000 annually
Status: Exempt, 40 hours per week

Function:
This position reports directly to the Vice President for HR, Risk Management, and Organizational Development. The Employee Engagement and Benefits Manager is responsible for administering employee benefits in all agency operations. This position provides exceptional guidance and assistance to all employees on various employee benefit plans. Additionally, the Employee Engagement and Benefits Manager will develop strategies to improve engagement, and manage programs designed to enhance FSI’s culture as well as promote longevity and engagement among team members, including but not limited to the areas of, recruitment, onboarding, retention, recognition, learning and development, diversity, wellness, and other activities aimed at creating a positive workplace environment that supports our staffs right to thrive.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Human Resources, or a related field and 2 years’ experience working as a generalist in human resources and/or a people and culture role OR 5 years’ experience working as a generalist in human resources and/or a people and culture role
- Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva
- Must have reliable transportation to visit 12 sites throughout Dutchess, Ulster and Orange Counties

Position Responsibilities:

Administer and Audit various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 403(b), and wellness benefits.

Conduct benefits orientations and explain INavigator system.
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
- Assist VP of HR in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company.
- Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs.
- Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
- Assist VP of HR and ADs in HR in completing benefits reporting requirements.
- Work with Marketing and the Talent Acquisition Manager to develop and manage social media sites to help boost recruitment, highlight events and bolster agency branding.

Co-Chair the Wellness and Morale agency subcommittee whose mission is to help improve overall employee wellbeing.
- Order and distribute FSI promotional items managing a monthly budget.
- Coordinate employee incentives such as lunches, contests and special events.
- Boost employee morale by listening to the needs and concerns of staff with an eye for creativity and motivation.
- Work to foster an environment conducive to employee satisfaction.

Assist with efficient day-to-day operations of the HR office.
- Travel to all FSI sites as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
