Job Title: Certified Dental Assistant
Job Summary:
Northampton Dental Specialists Group is a well established General Dental practice! We have a great dental team and office culture. We are seeking 2 full time Certified Dental Assistants to join our growing practice. Responsibilities include greeting and preparing patients for dental procedures, including recording medical/dental histories, four-handed dental assisting techniques, current Infection Control Compliance, and exposing high-quality digital radiographs and flexibility. Skill in providing excellent customer service and support; ability to multi-task and work as a positive team player. Position requires a current MA Dental Assistant Registration, Radiology Certification, computer literacy, CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association; BLS for Health Care Providers required. We have two dental operatories for each doctor and a surgical suite. Compensation will be based on experience.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments
- Take good quality digital dental X-rays
-Take impressions and pour models
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with prosthodontics procedures
- Support pediatric dentistry and general dentistry services
- Practice four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care
- Handle coding and documentation related to dental procedures, printing treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Completion of a dental assistant program (preferred)
- X-Ray certification
- Knowledge of dental coding and documentation practices
- Experience working in a dental clinic setting is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients in a professional manner
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
