upporting Teachers assist Lead Teachers and Program Heads in all daily lessons, activities, and trips. Supporting Teachers are responsible for monitoring assigned individuals or assigned groups of students and ensuring the health and safety of students enrolled in the program.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise assigned students in school setting and on community trips
- Ensure health and safety of assigned student(s)
- Assist Lead Teacher in implementation of daily lesson plans in accordance with session theme
- Assist Lead Teacher in organization of student work and communicate with Program Head regarding observed student behaviors and progress
- Work with assigned student(s) to reinforce learning activities
- Participate and/or lead recreational activities, including swim time and off-site education experiences.
- Collaborate with Program Head and Support Staff to ensure appropriate environment for all students
- Attend all staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
