Line Cook
Position Summary:
We are seeking passionate, motivated, and team-oriented cooks committed to delivering the highest quality of food and service to our guests. All experience levels are welcome, but you must be eager and willing to learn within a fine-dining environment. Qualified candidates will need to be able to maintain professional composure, have a detailed focus, and keep an open mind at all times. Working closely with peers and leaders will be necessary for success as we grow, and foster a culture of open communication and collaborating support. The highest standards of food quality, culinary techniques, and service will be expected by all members of the Debonair staff.
Basic Requirements

Position Expectations
- Preparation of dishes from station assigned by Chef/Sous Chefs.
- Must be able to execute all menu items for assigned stations.
- Full understanding of how to read food tickets.
- Fully understand the importance of and have the ability to utilize standard recipe cards and plating guides.
- Skillfully apply culinary techniques during food execution while maintaining exceptional knowledge of menu items.
- Complete all assignments and responsibilities while maintaining the highest level of organization and cleanliness throughout all kitchen areas.
- Willing and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ensuring all assigned food preparation is done as expected; able to take guidance/coaching and action to correct any irregularities.
- Ensure all HACCP requirements, such as temperature logs and labeling, are completed correctly to ensure safekeeping and sanitation as required by the company and local regulations.
- Perform all duties while following all health department sanitation requirements.
- Effectively communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees.
- Other tasks as assigned by a Chef or leader.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to remain standing for shifts up to 8 hours or more.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted or seek assistance for heavier items.
- Work in environments of limited space, and high/low temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Culinary School graduate
- 1 year or more of experience operating as a line cook in a fine dining environment
- High Volume Kitchen Experience
- Baking or Pastry Experience
- Open Availability Preferred
