Property Management
Star Property Management is seeking a Property Manager Professional to manage our multi- family properties and townhomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to those listed. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by the Management.
- Be able to achieve occupancy goals and leasing expectations of the property by utilizing various marketing methods and programs.
- Achieve delinquency standards weekly/monthly.
- Conduct daily physical inspections of the property to ensure all Star Property standards are met.
- Coordinate with the maintenance staff.
- Respond to resident requests or complaints in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, as well as problem-solving meetings.
- Monitor rent collection efforts, including accounts receivable, bad debt, evictions, and the timely approval of write-offs.
- Has a complete understanding of each of the markets in which properties are located and monitors those markets regularly.
- Ensure desired tenant renewals are being captured at the highest rate possible
- Conducts new move-in orientations; explains lease documents, housekeeping standards, and resident responsibilities.
- Investigate possible lease violations.
- Demonstrated prompt, regular work attendance.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, you must carry out each essential duty competently. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed:
- At least ten(10) years of experience in multi-site management
- The ability to go to properties frequently and regularly while being exposed to outside weather conditions.
- The ability to climb stairs as business dictates and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Experience in budgeting, revenue enhancement and expense control.
- Experience with Appfolio preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must have extensive knowledge of property management principles and practices.
