The Yancey Power Systems Inside Sales Representative promotes the sale of service agreements and repairs for our Commercial Service and Engine Service customers. They will cover an assigned territory, establish and maintain customer relationships that focus on winning both immediate service needs and long term maintenance agreements. The ISR will also ensure quality customer service activities designed to enhance sales volume and excel in customer satisfaction.
- Calls on assigned accounts (inside sales) – Approx. 50 calls a day
- Provide quotes for all preventative maintenance (PM) follow-up repairs (AWR’s) for both assigned accounts and Product Support Sales Reps accounts in assigned territory
- Qualify and Maintain contact with small to medium size customers to increase sales of parts and service solutions
- Maintains current customer and prospect list for assigned territory
- “Sell the House” – reviews additional maintenance services, Extended Warranties (ESC’s), along with follow up repairs from PM service and parts sales
- Grow customer value service agreements (CVA’s)
- Maintains customer activities, opportunity pipeline and equipment lists in SalesLink
- Informs Product Support Manager of new customer service opportunities
- Advises the Product Support Manager and other appropriate parties of any significant active or potential customer concerns
- Consistently maintains positive, productive and mature work ethics
- Provide backup to service team as needed, including occasional after hours or vacation coverage responsibility
- Works with various vendors to solicit parts or services required to support any proposed service activity
- Maintains up to date maintenance contract pricing
- Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
- Additional duties as assigned by manager
To be successful in this position you should have strong organizational skills, self-motivation, sales and communication skills. You should be a critical thinker, able to lead by example, be comfortable with making decisions, show initiative, and a problem solver.
- College graduate with two years’ experience in technical repair services or parts sales or high school graduate with five years’ experience in technical repair services or part sales
- Must be able to clearly communicate by telephone and in-person with internal and external customers.
- Must have an outstanding positive attitude at all times!
- Valid state driving license with an acceptable/good driving record.
- Ability to drive daily to various customer locations.
- Must have PC experience with MS Excel, Word, and general computer literacy.
- General math abilities and business operations knowledge required. Typing skills and ability to write general business correspondence required.
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and customer service skills necessary.
