The starting pay ranges from ($16.35-$19.35 per hour) dependent on experience and credentials in addition to a variety of incentives including flexible schedules, mileage reimbursement, part-time and full-time positions, and health benefits.

Qualifications for position of Youth Specialist:
Valid Driver's License.
Auto insurance
Able to pass a comprehensive background examination.
Able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
(1) year of experience working with emotional disabilities, mental illness, behavior management and at-risk youth and families and/or education in the mental health field preferred.
Most available shifts occur during the evening after school and weekends, however, there is the availability for day-time hours during the summer and other school breaks.
Your Role as Youth Specialist:
Mentoring youth; assuming a positive leadership role and example through teaching, coaching, guiding, reminding, demonstrating, and redirecting your mentee. * Implement Person Centered Planning and Behavioral Planning guidelines and protocols. * Communicate effectively to all assigned team members including but not limited to case managers, probation officers, family trainers, or therapists, reporting progress, challenges, incidents, violations, or concerns on a routine basis. * Providing insight into the treatment plan; feedback for areas involving growth, regression, trainings, etc. * Responding to emergency situations including behavioral escalations or medical emergencies as set forth by agency guidelines and treatment plans. * As mandated reporters, you will report any suspected abuse and/or neglect to the proper entities and members per the guidelines set forth. * Assist your assigned youth during community service or volunteer work obligations and endeavors to meet probation requirements. * Always accompany and provide supervision including all community outings to promote socialization, integration, and life skill endeavors.
