Corporate Controller
Position overview:
TalentoHCM has partnered with an industry leading food distribution organization that is elevating its finance functions to respond to its double-digit growth to $5Bn and beyond with an inventive, organized, and enthusiastic strategic leader. As we embark on our next phase of growth, the controller plays a pivotal role in financial reporting and decision-making. They ensure the alignment of financial and budgetary systems with our strategic objectives, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in reporting. The successful candidate will be known for surpassing expectations, cultivating trust through servant leadership, and a commitment to organizational development.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and tax.
- Enhance financial controls and procedures for accurate and reliable financial records.
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Optimize cash flow and investments in alignment with financial strategies.
- Contribute a financial perspective to strategic planning discussions.
- Compile internal and external financial reports and statements.
- Analyze accounting operations, make financial recommendations, and implement improvements.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives in line with the corporate strategic plan.
- Utilize financial data for making crucial business decisions.
- Monitor business and financial performance metrics and KPIs.
- Assess control systems and evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and financial databases.
- Implement efficient technology and tools to enhance the finance team's performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in business and CPA preferred.
- Significant experience in corporate accounting within manufacturing
- Leadership experience in financial accounting, FP&A, or cost accounting
- Exceptional communication skills for effectively conveying financial matters.
- Proven ability to communicate financial recommendations clearly.
- Strong communicator with the capability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Forward-thinking mindset to plan for department needs amid company growth.

Pay: $220,000.00 - $270,000.00 per year
