SWACO is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key role in securing funding for our critical programs by identifying grant opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and building relationships with funders.
What You'll Do:
- Be a grant detective! Uncover new funding opportunities from government agencies, corporations, foundations, and private donors that align with SWACO's goals.
- Become a grant writing whiz! Develop high-quality proposals, applications, and supporting documents that clearly communicate the value of our programs.
- Build bridges with funders! Represent SWACO as a liaison, fostering positive relationships with grant agencies and organizations.
- Track your progress! Monitor submitted proposals and follow up to ensure they receive the attention they deserve.
- Be a budgeting pro! Create clear and concise budgets for proposals, projects, and related initiatives.
- Collaborate with the best! Meet with staff regularly to discuss current and upcoming programs, ensuring proposals reflect our collective expertise.
- Stay on top of your game! Track and analyze proposal metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Lend a helping hand! Assist the Accounting and Finance department with routine tasks to support departmental goals.

We're looking for someone with:
- A bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a grant writer, preferably for a public organization.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
