Job Title: Tire Shredder Operator
Job Summary: We are seeking a self-motivated and mechanically inclined Tire Shredder Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining tire shredding machinery to efficiently process and recycle used tires. Your positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will ensure the effective operation and maintenance of our shredding equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate tire shredding machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Monitor the shredding process to ensure efficient operation and maintain productivity.
- Assure tires are feed into the shredder while adhering to load capacities and sorting requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on shredding equipment to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shredding area and surrounding workspace.
- Follow established protocols for the secure handling and disposal of shredded tire materials.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding environmental compliance and safety.
- Document shredding activities and maintain accurate records as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Tire Shredder Operator or in a similar role preferred.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate shredding machinery effectively and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Ability to lift and move heavy tires, as well as stand for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in sorting and processing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills for recording operational data and maintenance logs.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to equipment operation and tire handling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in equipment operation or industrial machinery.
- Experience in tire recycling or waste management operations.
Working Conditions:
