Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Vaccine Coordinator at our independent community pharmacy. As a Vaccine Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating vaccine clinics provided by our pharmacy to various communities. This role plays a crucial part in promoting public health and ensuring access to important vaccinations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and schedule vaccine clinics in different communities, working closely with community organizations, schools, and local authorities.
2. Manage vaccine inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and monitoring vaccine supplies to ensure availability for clinics.
3. Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines related to vaccine administration and storage.
4. Train and supervise pharmacy staff or volunteers involved in vaccine administration during clinics.
5. Maintain accurate records of vaccinations given, documenting doses administered and reporting to appropriate health authorities.
6. Communicate with community members to promote upcoming vaccine clinics and educate on the importance of vaccination.
7. Monitor and evaluate vaccine clinic effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
8. Collaborate with healthcare providers and public health officials to support community immunization initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (public health, healthcare administration, etc.) preferred.
- Previous experience in vaccine coordination, public health, or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of vaccine storage requirements and best practices.
- Understanding of public health principles and practices related to vaccination.
