SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance and support of the Director for Nursing Quality (DONQ) and Special Projects, the Associate Director, Analytics and Project Implementation (AD-API) is a critical member of Patient Gere Services. The AD-API will be expected to represent the institution well and to role model its core values and philosophy. They will be responsible for supporting the DONQ on numerous initiatives and projects relative to implementing Patient Care Services' strategic plan. This requires high level data analysis and clinical knowledge utilizing evidence-based processes.
The Associate Director will interface with nursing staff and leadership, and other important clinical areas to ensure that projects and initiatives are aligned with the institution's strategy.
The AD-API will have strong project management experience and will be responsible for the oversight of all project plans and deliverables as they relate to assigned areas of responsibility.
The AD-API will oversee and support a shared leadership philosophy and advance the professional care delivery model for Patient Care Services. As a member of Patient Care Services Leadership Team, the AD-API will perform all 2spects of the role, consistent with the American Nurses Association, Scope and Standards for Nursing.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
All clinical divisions under Nursing Dept.
The specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assists DONQ with all projects and initiatives relative to the implementation of Patient Care Services' strategy using rational processes and data analytics to ensure highest-level of quality and use of best practices.

Leverages clinical and operational experience along with information systems knowledge to identify innovative methods by which data analytics can drive quality and efficiency.

Manages project goals, timelines, milestones, and resources in collaboration with various departments.

Prepares technical reports and updates of projects being implemented.

Collaborates with clinical/nursing departments to develop and analyze key performance metrics to improve patient care.

Using a sound performance management approach, fosters team-centered culture that is wholly consistent of Kings County's.

Participates in departmental and hospital-wide meetings and committees, as required.

Assists with the preparation for Joint Commission and other governmental surveys/audits, as needed.

Maintains a leadership position by staying current on nursing's clinical best practices and incorporates these practices into Patient Care Services' strategy and planning.

Ensures that nursing practices support and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and standards, including Code of Conduct and Standards of Care and Safety Regulations.

Fosters the foundation of collaboration among staff and supports a shared-governance environment
Facilitates shared governance council meetings and assists in report preparation
Actively engages staff in discussion and inputs relating to resource allocation and cost management
Supports staff during times of organizational change or change in leadership
Continuously strives to increase core knowledge and role competency through leadership development activities
Knowledge of Pathway to Excellence, Beacon Award for Excellence and Magnet Recognition Program designations
Participates in peer-to-peer performance feedback/review and uses these feedback (and that of staff's) as Opportunities for improvement
Uses mistakes as learning opportunities, not criticism
Promotes 3 culture of day-to-day recognition and creates an environment where everyone understands the value of recognizing each other on any given day (both big and small contributions)
