Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update medical records.
-Complete charting, scan relevant documents, collect insurance details and deductibles.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance billing
-Prepare instruments for office based procedures
-Clean and stock examination rooms
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Provide general office support to medical staff
Skills:
- Excellent patient service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and professional care
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Knowledge of medical records management and confidentiality protocols
- Familiarity with emergency room (ER) procedures and protocols is a plus
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry, scheduling, and organization
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Experience in a dental office or as a dental receptionist is also beneficial
- Ability to provide medical administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations
