Job Functions
- Follow established safety rules and regulations. Must maintain a safe and clean workspace
- Fabricate and install wall & floor framing
- Window, door, and hardware installation
- Perform professional cabinet installation
- Standing and running trim
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Other duties as assigned by Millwork Shop Manager and filed superintendent
- Assemble cabinets, doors and other shop fabricated items
Special Skills
- Knowledge in the proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in commercial and residential construction
- Proficient in reading and understanding architectural and structural drawings
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to lift heavy and awkward sized objects weighing up to 50 lbs., walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing to transmit instructions to jobsite team
- Demonstrate the ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in the management of jobsite
- Ability to balance individual responsibilities while contributing the building of a positive team spirit
- Must possess proficient math skills
Work Context
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions which may include: inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Noise level is generally loud
- Must be able to quickly move arms and legs
- Excellent stamina is required
Education, Training and Experience
· Must have at least 1 Year of education and experience in which you demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform the work
· Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
Special Requirements
· Driver’s License and clean driving record is required for the use of company issued vehicle
