TITLE: Electrical Maintenance Technician
SHIFT: 2nd – 3pm – 11:30pm
LOCATION: Markleville
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
SCOPE: To provide support for the entire site complex including the office structure, the manufacturing building, grounds as well as mechanical equipment on site (Electrical & Mechanical).
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
· Strong background in industrial electrical
· 5 years' Industrial Electrician experience required with preference given to those with a background in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
· Experience with routine maintenance operations.
· Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
· Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
· Able to work well under pressure.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
· Knowledge of safe operating procedures.
· Self-starter, with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Computer literate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment, including machinery
· Maintenance and repair of motors, control boxes, PLC’s, variable speed drives, starters, etc.
· Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
· Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
· Run conduit and wiring
· Work on other electrical projects as required.
· Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and components.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
· Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
· Understand and follow emergency procedures when power outage in the plant.
· Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, state and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications, including safety requirements such as lockout/tagout, confined space entry, etc.

· Sitting- to complete a task at lower levels.

· Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox.
· Kneeling- to perform work activities at low levels.
· Crawling- to perform work activities under equipment.
· Squatting Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine.
· Twisting- to perform work activities.
· Pinch- to use tools, to manipulate wires.
· Grasping/handling- using tools, manipulating parts.
· Must be able to lift 65 pounds.
· Must be able to move parts more than 100 pounds.
· Must be able to climb ladders.
Must be able to work in confined areas.
