Seeking to fill an open, full-time, Call Center Associate position in a Provider Inquiry Department for the DC Medicaid program. The position is telephone based with a focus on delivering quality service to the DC Medicaid Provider community. All applicants should possess excellent communication skills, medical claims knowledge, and experience in handling customer inquiries. To be successful, you must be able to answer Provider questions quickly and accurately by quickly surveying detailed information, without overlooking anything important. You should have a warm personality and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- 1-2 years experience in a 'Medical' Call Center environment; strong customer service skills
- Insurance medical claims experience, preferred
- Proficient in use of computers
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi task
- Must be able to work in a team environment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer the telephone promptly and respond to written correspondence in a polite and professional manner
- Research and explain inquiries regarding claims: submission, denials, and appeals
- Assist with recipient eligibility and payment inquiries, and technical issues with web base provider interfaces
- Answer questions, offer information, as requested, direct calls and refer Providers, as requested, or as needed, to other departments for additional assistance
- Accurately document all interactions
- Perform other duties as assigned
