GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs complex (journey-level) administrative, supervisory, consultative services, and technical assistance regarding the agency’s case management services implemented at a TJJD-operated secure facility. Plans, develops, and implements the Texas Model strategy and services for the agency; provides consultation, coaching, and mentoring services as needed; and provides technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, or the general public. Coordinates implementation of process improvement plans and monitors, reviews, and evaluates the fidelity of program implementation. Uses training, facilitation, and coaching skills to build systemic competencies. Supervises and trains case managers and clerical staff.
Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per work week and be on-call.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assigns and supervises the work of assigned case managers and clerical staff. ( 20 %)
Provides consultative services, technical assistance, and support to facility staff regarding the agency’s case management services programming. ( 10 %)
Provides oversight, leadership, training, and technical assistance to case managers. ( 15 %)
Monitors, reviews, and evaluates the fidelity of program implementation; recommends activities to produce a more effective program and eliminate gaps in service delivery as needed; and assists other leadership teams with the development of action plans to improve or address areas of concern. ( 10 %)
Provides ongoing coaching, mentoring, training, and feedback to case managers and program staff; and coordinates implementation of process improvement plans as needed. ( 10 %)
Analyzes data and program operations; prepares or reviews administrative reports and provides feedback on patterns and trends, and utilizes data and reports to assist in the oversight of programs.(5%)
Participates in policy and procedure manual development for the agency case management program, and prepares justifications for procedural or policy changes. ( 5 %)
Actively participates in staff and special meetings regarding agency initiatives; prepares for such meetings and shares information, identifies concerns and trends, and recommends improvements to resolve problems or enhance the delivery of services; and considers ideas and points of view from other staff members. ( 5 %)
Serves as liaison to other governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public; and explains and provides technical assistance on program specifics and requirements. ( 5 %)
Performs as the Serious Incident Administrator (SIA) as assigned. ( 5 %)
Assists with developing training materials and conducts training sessions for parents of TJJD youth as directed; assists in the collection, organization, analysis, and/or preparation of materials in response to requests for program information; assists in preparing and evaluating program budget requests. ( 5 %)
Monitors outcomes for racial, ethnic, and gender disparities and takes action to address identified disparities.
Performs a variety of related duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
Performs all duties in compliance with agency safety policies and procedures:
- Reports safety hazards and corrects hazards when possible.
- Completes required documentation in the event of an accident/injury within the requested time frames.
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency attendance and leave policies.
