Essential Functions:
- Prepare purchase orders and submit them to distributors and suppliers via, phone, email, EDI, and other means.
- Analyze purchase requisitions, determine appropriate vendors, and track orders to ensure products are received in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure materials are purchased in an efficient and timely manner.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, and reliability and payment terms.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors to obtain the best prices for goods or services.
- Conduct market research on new and existing products or services available from potential suppliers on a regular basis to ensure that our facility continually receives the best price and service.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies between invoices and delivery receipts and products received by contacting vendors to determine order status and communicate discrepancies with shipments.
- Perform thorough audits of purchase orders and invoices to ensure their accuracy.
- Facilitate seamless collaboration between Materials, Plant Ops, Finance, and Logistics.
- Analyze data and market trends to forecast purchasing needs and optimize inventory.
- Communicate information with teammates, supervisor(s), and other departments to ensure up to date and accurate information is disseminated.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Current Driver’s License with clean driving record required.
No professional certification required.
One year of Courier and/or Supply Technician experience preferred.
Must be at least 25 years old, as required by insurance carrier.
Wage Range : $20.00 - $29.37
