The DHHS is looking for a Mid-Level IT Support Specialist – This position entails ascertaining IT solutions for clients with troubles and accommodating queries over computers, software, and hardware. The job holder is expected to possess good analytics skills in solving problems and be both a team player and a self-timer. This is a technical support position whereby, elaborated, the candidate will have to receive technical inquiries from members of the organization and assist in solving those problems; as well as guarantee the proper functioning of the IT system in the department.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve IT support requests from employees.
- Answer employee questions regarding computer systems, mobile devices, multifunction printers/copiers and videoconferencing tools.
- Gather and analyze data to diagnose problems with computer systems, mobile devices, multifunction printers/copiers and videoconferencing tools.
- Install new software and hardware drivers and updates existing ones as needed.; and logs all service requests and service request updates as needed.
Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from a four-year accredited university.
- More than 5 years of experience in the below areas:
- Computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
- Troubleshooting common issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Communicating effectively: listening to users' issues, asking clarifying questions, and providing clear and concise instructions or explanations.
- Experiences in analyzing symptoms, identifying root causes, and implementing appropriate solutions, whether independently or by escalating to higher-level support teams.
- Familiarity with IT Operation ticketing systems or help desk software.
- Experience in providing remote assistance to users located offsite or in different locations, experience with remote support tools and technologies

Pay: $113,000.00 - $116,000.00 per year
