Our client is a cosmetic & personal care manufacturer. Due to increased growth, this company is in need of a VP of Quality & Compliance who will uphold the utmost standards of quality and regulatory compliance across the organization’s manufacturing operations.
$180k – $250k DOE
The VP of Quality & Compliance will verify that all products meet and surpass regulatory standards and expectations while fostering continuous improvement. The VP of Quality & Compliance will ensure compliance with standards such as FDA, EPA, and ISO.
- Lead the response to quality or compliance issues, such as product recalls, regulatory actions, and customer complaints, ensuring transparent and timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure conformity with domestic and international regulations and standards pertaining to personal care products, encompassing FDA, EPA, ISO, and other pertinent industry regulations.
- Cultivate alliances with regulatory bodies and industry associations, proactively anticipating shifts in legislation and standards affecting company products or processes.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to embed quality and compliance considerations into product development and manufacturing workflows.
- Provide strategic direction and advisory on quality and compliance matters to the executive team, contributing to the overarching strategic direction of the company.
- Formulate and execute a holistic quality management system (QMS) that integrates all dimensions of quality assurance, quality control, and compliance processes across the organization.
- Foster a resilient culture of quality and ongoing enhancement, embracing optimal practices and cutting-edge quality assurance technologies.
- Supervise internal and external audits, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and identifying avenues for process enhancement.
- Lead the Quality and Compliance department, encompassing goal establishment, budgeting, and staffing to effectively bolster organizational objectives and expansion.
- Experience with submission of IND, NDA, or ANDA.
- Proven experience in implementing a QMS in a manufacturing environment.
- 10 years of experience in quality assurance/regulatory compliance within the personal care, pharmaceutical, or consumer products industries.
- Bachelors degree in a related field, Masters degree is preferred.
