Role Summary
Leading/ coordinating construction projects from new builds to expansions and alterations that optimize the performance of mechanical and electrical systems. As Project Manager, one is responsible for developing the assignments, schedules, and scope of work for the construction team and other personnel throughout the duration of the project. Examples of potential projects include healthcare facilities, hotels, schools, sports arenas, mission critical facilities and industrial complexes and other essential institutions.
Scope of work
- Manage and coordinate projects from start
- Completing projects on time and in budget
- Create assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project
- Organize and direct construction personnel
- Procure materials and equipment resources needed
- Complete status reports throughout live cycle of project and provide end of contract cost and budget analysis
- Process all change orders and update scope of in a timely manner
- Review project estimates and verify entry into job cost system is correct as well as accuracy of initial estimate
- Do the same for final estimates
- Ensure all action items are completed at pre-job planning meetings and documents meeting results
- Establish and execute subcontracts and equipment buy-outs to support schedules and budgets
- Prepare and submit monthly contract billings
- Manages conflict resolution with customers, vendors, trades or Partners
- Visit job sites or onsite offices, perform work inspections, check job progress, and resolve project and contract issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree is required.
- 2+ years of experience managing MEP projects in the multifamily/high rise space.
- Excellent organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
