IT Training Specialist Lead is a subject matter expert with limited oversight from manager who is responsible for designing, implementing, and identifying training needs, designing and delivering training programs/large projects, and evaluating their effectiveness through analysis. Primary focus is to ensure Purdue IT’s staff development aligns with Purdue IT goals and strategy and enhances the technical competencies of Purdue IT organization and staff.
- Needs Assessment: Evaluates strengths and weaknesses to identify training requirements.
- Curriculum Development: Builds recurring and non-recurring training programs.
- Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions and ensures employees receive relevant and effective training.
- Effectiveness Evaluation: Assesses impact of training programs and stays updated on trends in employee development and adapt training content accordingly.
This is a new position in the department and a chance to have a significant impact on the organization.
