The Accounting Manager is the primary manager of the organizational functions of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This position manages the accounting staff including performance management assessments, hiring, and disciplinary actions in accordance with WDS People Operations policies. Main responsibility is to support Accounting/Finance to fulfill their Department Charter to Wildfire Defense Group companies.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage a staff of 2-5 Accountants in a full cycle, including employee experience and engagement along with ongoing mentoring.
- Bi-monthly presentation and overview of all Wildfire Defense Group company expenses to Owner/CEO to ensure timely payment to vendors and clients.
- Primary point of contact for vendors and clients regarding Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Q.A./Q.C. work product of staff Accountants to ensure clean and accurate general ledgers across all Wildfire Defense Group companies.
- Subject matter expert for organization’s E.R.P., managing projects, codes, classes, etc.
- Interface with internal company leaders to provide exceptional quality support and guidance to ensure adherence to company policies and department procedures throughout the organization.
- Partner with internal CPA to oversee tax responsibilities including reporting, payment and communications with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work with Corporate Controller to provide timely and accurate financial reporting regularly for all Wildfire Defense Group companies.
- Communicate with Client Relationship Managers to recognize deferred revenue in the appropriate period and report current standings on aged accounts receivable reporting.
- Manage the Credit Card system researching fraud, recording cash back transactions, recognizing monthly payment and ensuring that proper credit levels are maintained across all companies within the Wildfire Defense Group.
- Insurance liaison between insurance broker contact and Wildfire Defense Group entity for new policies, endorsements, renewals and other insurance related items as needed.
- Daily review of bank account activities to ensure accurate and timely recording of expenses, deposits, and awareness against fraud for all Wildfire Defense Group companies.
- Responsible for weekly bank runs to deposit any receivables obtained during the prior week.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
