Position Overview:
Semaj Learning Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of children.
- Support the creation of a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages active learning and creativity.
- Help assess and document children’s progress through observations and evaluations, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child’s development and address any concerns.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.
- Adhere to all state regulations and guidelines for the Georgia Pre-K program.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience:
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools.
Additional Qualifications:
