What We're Looking For:
Option 1: A High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of office experience (bonus points if it's in HR!).
Option 2: An Associate's Degree or 60 credits earned with 2 years of office experience (again, HR experience is a big plus!).
What You'll Do Here:
- Confers with management to implement personnel policies or procedures.
- Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, contracts, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
- Contacts job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications.
- Reviews employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements.
- Reviews and evaluates applicant qualifications or eligibility for specified licensing, according to established guidelines and designated licensing codes.
- Selects qualified job applicants or refers them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
- Conducts reference or background checks on job applicants and vendors, and assists with employee drug screenings.
- Interprets and explains human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Monitors and corrects time and attendance records.
- Prepares or maintains employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
- Maintains and updates human resources documents, such as organizational charts, directories, or performance evaluation forms.
- Provides management with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
- Maintains employee data integrity and confidentiality.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
