Studio Coordinator Job Description
The Studio Coordinator, as part of the Operations team, is the primary point of communications for the school and must be focused on exceptional customer service at all times. This position combines reception duties, facility maintenance, studio and classroom equipment setup, and safety responsibilities. It is vital that you feel comfortable in all of the roles outlined below. Icon Collective is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and motivated person to fill this role. Reports to/under the direction of the Office Manager.
Starting Rate: $18/hr
Part time including nights, Fridays, Saturdays, and occasional department meetings and events off of regularly scheduled hours.

FACILITIES/STUDIO RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organizing/cleaning facilities, equipment, cables, etc.
- General “handy-work”
- Maintaining firm understanding of systems, facilities and audio equipment
- AV setup/breakdown
- Studio setup and instructor requests
- Troubleshooting and tech support
- Booking studio time
- Scheduling maintenance and repairs
GENERAL/DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Artist, guest, and student hospitality
- Maintaining Icon’s five-star standard for hospitality and appearance.
- Making coffee/tea, doing dishes, maintaining the kitchen, taking out trash, etc.
- Telephone operations (answering, transferring, message services)
- Daily maintenance of building facilities including restrooms and outside areas
- Printing and monitoring of student ID badges
- Scheduling and maintaining regular services
- Inventory, ordering systems, purchasing, merch sales and pricing
- Enforcing school policies as directed and reporting infractions/incidents
- Project coordination and task management
- Juggling multiple deadlines, priorities, requests
- Coordinating across departments, collaborating within department, progress updates
- Assisting with campus events (day shift on a Sunday required every 3 months)
- Opening/closing duties
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Walk students and staff to and from the building to their vehicles where appropriate.
- Monitor all traffic inside and outside of the facilities.
- Perform regular security checks, at night in alleyways, and around the exterior/interior of Icon Collective properties in which you will enforce policies as needed and/or address any security concerns.
- Maintain a friendly relationship with surrounding businesses and neighbors as necessary.
- Writing incident reports as necessary.

The ideal person will bring the following credentials and experience:
- Experience in customer service or hospitality
- Demonstrate well-rounded music production, recording studio and A/V technical knowledge
- Competent in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and ProTools
- Competent with MS Office, Google Suite and Apple OS
- Experience performing handiwork or managing facilities
- Excellent professional references
- A Bachelor's Degree preferred
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted may be required.
